Future of Indonesian Golkar

The Indonesian Parliament Speaker and Leader of the Indonesia’s party of the workers group Setya Novanto is been charged with corruption and allegations. The party has got an outstanding image inside the country but the recent accusations have put that trust and poise down from the minds of general public. However, new leader Airlangga Hartarto is busy making rational approaches to prepare profoundly for the 2019 legislative election. Al though, the party has been the victorious in most of the history because of its best arrangements. Mr. Hartarto was once the master mind behind the party’s success in elective grounds. However, the party has been struggling in electoral bases, since, the 1988 post democratic era. Al though, the fact that the party owns better organization than other 10 parties of the country.

Airlangga Hartarto has admitted the conflicts and tension inside the party ad he is looking forward to eject the misunderstandings to bring this party again at the top. During the past five years Golkar has struggled with internal clashes which eventually, made the position worse. Hartato’s ambition is yet to strengthen the country internally and not to fire anyone. The homework of this transition period will bring the foods as he is destined to go into market and win the 2019 election with a clear objective. As the ground is just fifteen months away, Golkar is eying at the 16% of total vote in the elections or may be 100 seats in the parliament in any event. Not to forget, that the party wants just 2% of more votes it gained in 2009 and 2014. Meanwhile, the party holds 91 parliamentary seats now.

Former Head Setya Novanto accused on corruption charges

Earlier, the polls were suggesting 12-13% of votes in favor of the party but after the charges of corruption and bribery of Novanto in Indonesia, the polls went down to 8-9%. Additionally, the poles are suggesting that the ruling Indonesia Democrat party for Struggle, the party of the president Joke Widdow is still at its very best of position, winning the suggestion by 25%. Explicitly, the Indonesia Democrat Party for Struggle has got 19% votes in 2014 elections.

Airlangga is been criticized by appointing Bambong Soesatyo as the new housekeeper. He was the chief of Anti corruption unit formed to investigate against the corruption charges of Novanto. Indeed, his party needs to work on establishing an independent investigation forum and find a way to work better to erect bribery and prosecute under the charges. Moreover, inside dilemma of Golkar is telling us that most of its members are quitting. The gone members are in the verdict that the party is under crisis and they see no future over there.

By the time, Golkar has no revival since the collapse of new order regime in 1998 when three of Suahrto’s close allies occupied the party. Airlangga is now proposing older politicians to step back and encourage the new faces to come over and work for the prosperity of the country. The older ones may share their wisdom and experiences to the beginners.

In the final analysis, Golkar and Presidnet Widdow’s parties are making a move to collaborate upcoming elections. The region of west Java, will prove a a beneficial for both of the sides if they join together and work for a coalition over there.
