Turk forces have stepped up in Syria to push YPG away


Syrian grounds have witnessed the recent advancements as Turkey step up against the Kurdish militia offensively. The AFRIN are which earlier was handled by Kurdish militia is now elevated by Turkish forces aiming to make this particular area free from Kurdish influence. Likewise, jets and artilleries were reportedly hit by Turk team. Additionally, civilian casualties are reported over the site.

Meanwhile, YPG forces of Kurds have reported that three Turkish military tanks were demolished at the sited of Bilbil and Shara. Earlier, Turkish border town was hit by rockets on Saturday. During the attack, houses and workplaces were hit injuring one Turkish citizen. Conversely, Turkey stepped up to enter its forces inside Syria to combat Kurdish militia.

 The operation Olive Branch as expressed by Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim is a strategic stance to secure and establish a 30- kilometer security barrier inside the Afrin area of Syria. Correspondingly, this would protect the Turkish towns from attacks towards the rebel and opposite forces. Additionally, Ankara is aware of the threat it could face from the militia, saying, that this YPG force is responsible for the dissent inside the country. YPG is also a close ally of US and NATO in its war against ISIS and other extremists at Syrian grounds.
Turkey started its Operation Olive Branch in Afrin city of Syria


Yesterday, a rocket again has been hit by militia inside Turkey at the place of Reyhanli, another border town. Turkish media reported that Turkey has operated inside three kilometers of Syria against the militia while YPG claimed that it repulsed the Turkish intrusion.

At one end, Ankara is feeling gratifying towards its advancements in Syria claiming that they have made YPG flee away from their earlier positions. Turkish President reportedly, speaking to a crowd claimed that the operation is heading towards the right direction from their point of view. They will soon accomplish the task will be having taste of the victory by the will of God.

US and other strong platforms have put leverage over Turkey in this case. US secretary of State, Rex Tillerson advised and urged Turkey to practice moderation in its decisions. He to its Russian and Turkish counterpart on phone said, the goal should be to put complete focus and gaze to combat and defeat ISIS in Syria and avoid killing or injuring of citizens. Meanwhile, Paris has announced to call an emergency meeting of US Security Council, warning the Turkish officials could prove intrusive in the war against Islamic State.

Al though, the world is pressurizing Turkey to end up interfering in Syria and go back to their bunkers but the Erdogan doesn’t seems likely to do this. Despite, he is supporting and rallying in favor of operation urging thousands of Turkish people to stand behind him. Additionally, he mentioned this operation as “battle for the Turkish Future” in his speeches as well as criticizing United States in its policies in the Region and World.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan is now an apple of the eyes for Turkish population. They are idealizing him, following him and listening to him. Additionally, he is strongly opposing the US and he has no fear of that. By and large, he and his Turkish public have got the thing “National Pride.” Erdogan will surely cash this slogan in coming elections.


To sum up, Turkey is facing the local, general and presidential elections in 2019. Government and opposition parties have strongly backed the military operation saying that this will prove beneficial for Turkish towns and cities and its overall security. All attempted protests on unfamiliar level have been crushed by the police on Sunday with number of arrests.
